Sophie Calle
Sophie Calle (born 1953) is a French writer, photographer, installation artist, and conceptual artist. Her work frequently depicts human vulnerability, and examines identity and intimacy. She is recognised for her detective-like ability to follow strangers and investigate their private lives. Her photographic work often includes panels of text of her own writing. The work that caught my eye is her project called 'The Chromatic Diet'. The images feature a variety of food and drinks for everyday of the week but just in one colour for each day. This work inspired me due to the unique and creative thought that is shown in the pictures, as well as the unique and originality of the images.
With my shoots I am planning on doing the same as Sophie Calle with her food colouring work with a new colour for two days of the week. For the 1st shoot Im planning on doing a shoot with white food with foods such as rice and eggs. Then with my 2nd shoot I am planning on doing a shoot with green food such as Spinach and cucumber.
